When you plan on doing your blog post in bed and you fall asleep instead, Sunday Sock comes on a Monday.
I turned the heel! Not shown, knitting for 1.5 hours in the movie theater and then ripping it all out. We’re still not speaking.
I’ve spent the weekend working on the #notatrhinebeckkal – and maybe I snuck down to Homestead Heritage to pick up my towel and washcloths. I also finished the 2 hand towels to make a set.
The ladies joked that my favorite person wasn’t there, but she showed up later. I don’t have a “favorite”, but Sunshine is just that. A bit of sunshine. We had a really great conversation about life and direction and purpose. Momma Bear may have convinced me to come down for the yearly festival.
The sorghum harvest was a few weeks ago, so I made sure to get myself a little treat of sorghum pecan ice cream.
Happy Monday y’all!
Well, that went fast and seems like forever ago. There hasn’t been a year that a haven’t blogged, but it has been sparse the past few. I don’t even know that woman that started blogging 15 years ago.
Cross stitch, knitting, spinning, weaving, life, happiness, sadness, just getting by. It’s almost all here. We aren’t talking about the past year yet, but I’m sure I will.
Today, I’ll be at Homestead Heritage weaving wash cloths and hand towels. I’m going to say to celebrate the blog, but honestly, I forgot until it popped up on my reminders last week. This is just a break for me from all the life stress. It is such a calming and joyful place.
I want to do a little give away to celebrate 15 years. I’ll do this post and 4 more. I know there will be a Stitched by JessaLu bag and maybe something else depending upon the response.

So, happy 15 years to me and happy Tuesday y’all!
Husband at the farm with his momma. I did nothing last night except knit and watch Live PD. (Seriously though, some of those officers! I need to be searched for weapons please) I had the whole cough to myself! Finished sock one for my mom. Y’all know I love her because she picked acrylic baby yarn.
I had cold pizza for breakfast. In bed. It was wonderful! Crumbs be damned! Ok, so I’m changing the sheets today, but that little rebellion felt good.
Today is picking up groceries. Say what you want about them, but that grocery pick up thing at w@lm@rt is awesome. If the delivery places could get it right, I’d go back to them, but this will do. All my meal prep is baked things that don’t require much except marinating and baking. Seeing as I’m doing 2 weeks of meals (the bike thing is NEXT WEEK y’all! I am not ready) I went for easy. FYI, meal prep is breakfast and 3 meals. For.Every.Work.Day. Further proof I love my husband. Just sayin’.
Then, I’m knitting. Mom has surgery the DAY AFTER the bike ride – y’all, could it be worse timing? So, I want to get these things done so she has something cheery in the hospital. I need to find something to binge on.
You can still donate to my ride. I’m going for $12k!
What are you doing today?
Get an entry for every $5 you donate to my Bike MS ride by 6 p.m. today(4/21). The more money raised, the more prizes added! There is Socks that Rock and another sweater’s worth of yarn in the wings, just waiting to be added!
